Firth, Pond & Co. Parlor Guitar 1850's

Regular price $1,799.00 Sale

You are viewing a vintage Firth, Pond & Company (NYC) parlor acoustic guitar. This guitar could benefit from some repairs and would be an excellent project guitar. This pre-Civil War Era Guitars appears to be from the 1850s. most likely between 1848-1860 possibly built by James Ashborn. Looks like Brazilian rosewood on the back and sides. It is a very cool vintage guitar with comfortable action and sounds great. There are several cracks on the back one on the top, the bridge is very slightly pulling up. It would be fine to play as is but it would benefit from a professional repair. This guitar has all the vintage mojo you can ask for and would look great on the wall and still be a playable unique sounding parlor guitar. Sale is for the guitar only.
